Back pain can be resolved without surgery in most cases
The conservative treatments for back pain involve the use of pain medications and other methods to reduce inflammation and restore normal function. Usually, some self-care methods and medications can help to overcome back pain, but if pain and inflammation persist over 72 hours, it is necessary to consult your physician. Your care at home can involve rest, ice or hot compress, special exercises, or medications. Certain non-invasive treatments such as spinal manipulation, acupuncture, biofeedback, traction, TENS etc may also help relieve pain.
Minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) is the latest technology available to perform spinal surgeries through small, less than one-inch-long incisions. It involves the use of special surgical instruments, devices and advanced imaging techniques to visualize and perform the surgery through such small incisions. MISS is aimed at minimizing damage to the muscles and surrounding structures. It possesses numerous benefits over the traditional spine surgery such as small surgery scars, reduced risk of infections, less blood loss during the surgery, less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stay, and quicker return to work and normal activities.

Dr. Garces, I just wanted to thank you for your help during my last appointment. You took the time to explain what the medical condition of my spine means currently and gave me a plan going forward to prepare for surgery when and if the need arises. I am used to hearing either "you don't need surger...
I came to her for a second opinion after a botched surgery with another neurosurgeon in town. Thaankfully she fixed me. I've been able to return to work and to take care of my kids again. Thank you.
I’ve thanked you many times already but it doesn’t feel like enough for the relief you brought me. My surgery went smoothly, you made sure to calm my anxiety by answering all of my many questions and educating me on the process. I feel much more confident and active in my life thanks to you!
Dr.Garces relieved back pain that I have been dealing with for years. I’ve had 2 previous surgeries and have had very little to no relief, but after surgery performed by her and her team I feel better than I have in years.
I had lived with my pain for so long, why hadn't I come to see Dr. Garces sooner? She explained everything, walked me through the process, and did a wonderful job.
I am lucky to have her. Dr. Garces took great care of me after my car accident. My surgery went great!
Dr. Garces spent time with me and made me feel comfortable and heard. I’ve been to many doctors before and she is hands down my favorite! Surgery went well, my pain is gone. I recommend her highly.
How can I thank you? Not just for your professional skills but for the thought and concern you displayed while treating me.
